Town 3 - 0 Barnet
Town had to work hard to break down Barnet's deep two banks of four in the first 38 minutes, but once Gary Jones had opened his account in the game, he quickly doubled his haul, and then Bolland added a third in just over 5 first-half minutes to the delight of a big crowd at Blundell Park. And that was that as Town took the three goals and three points.
Captain Justin Whittle won the toss and decided to kick towards the Pontoon Stand in the first half. His inclusion was the only change from last week, being enforced by the two-match suspension of Rob Jones. John McDermott had recovered from the horrific challenge that saw him replaced on 44 minutes against Rushden.
Gary Jones had the first half-chance for the Mariners after less than 4 minutes, but his shot was off target, and less than a minute later Bolland went down and needed lengthy attention from Dave Moore before having to leave the field temporarily.

Goal! 40:10 Jones again! This time it was a simple poke in for Gary Jones at the far post after the ball had been knocked through from Justin Whittle.
The second goal meant that Town's 7-match run of single goals in a game came to an end, and so a new mark was not set.

Goal!: 44:10: Tom Newey played the ball in to Bolland, and with just the keeper to beat stroked the ball home for Town's third.
In time added on Futcher went looking for number 4, but his shot was saved.
Macca looked for the fourth and with Gary Jones waiting for it at the far post the Town man won a corner kick.

This time the corner was cleared.
