A moment of quality denied the Mariners all three points at Blundell Park tonight. Until Teague's 49th minute strike Town looked to be heading for their second win of the season.
Michael Reddy made his first start of the season, with young striker Andy Taylor making his debut on the Mariners' bench.
Danny Boshell was making his first start since signing for Town. Nick Fenton was making his home debut after his move from Doncaster.
Long gone is the long ball and the Mariners are now passing their way through the midfield.
In the fourth minute Town could have gone ahead. Toner took a pass from Reddy but his curling effort was just wide.
And Rankin tried his luck but was high and wide.
Bolland and Boshell's work rate, Beagrie and Toner's creativeness was causing Macclesfield problems in the first half.
Michael Reddy won Town's first corner on 17 mins. Beagrie's swinging cross was heading for Boshell, but he fell to the ground. Penalty! Uriah Rennie had spotted a push on the former Stockport midfielder and pointed to the spot.
GOAL! Toner stepped up and sent the Silkmen's keeper the wrong way.
Town continued to dominate but couldn't find another breakthrough before the interval.

GOAL! Within three minutes of the re-start the visitors we level. An inch perfect cross from Regan was met by an unmarked Teague to head past Barnes.
Straight away Town tried to hit back as Boshell saw his flying header brilliantly tipped over by Brain.
There was a heart-stopping moment for Town fans when a Macclesfield player looked to be brought down just inside the box, but surprisingly the referee gave the kick the other way.
Town made a double substitution on 71 minutes, Jones and Bore replaced Beagrie and Reddy.
McNeil ran through but with Fenton in attendance Barnes gathered at his feet.
Andy Taylor was given his chance on 86 minutes, replacing Isaiah Rankin.
