A gallant ten man Reserves side were beaten 4-3 by Sheffield United tonight.

It was always going to be a difficult task against the Championship side after keeper Leigh Overton was dismissed for a professional foul on 30 minutes.

3-1 down at the break, with Grant Normington in goal, Town came out in the second half and put in what Neil Woods described as a magnificent performance.

Liam David had got Town's first, a fantastic strike by Nathan Jarman made it 3-2, before United added a fourth to make it 4-2. Jarman, who had previously hit the bar aswell, fired home Town's third to leave the home side hanging on.
