Town boss Alan Buckley thought that his players looked tired and thought that the 36th minute sending off of Nathan Jarman gave his side a mountain to climb.

"They looked tired for sure," he said.

"I thought I'd give Jarman a game - he's done exceptionally well and I wanted to look at him at league level. Not that it would have weakened the team. When he gets sent off after half an hour it weakens it then.

"I thought we started slowly, sloppily. A bit of luck, a bit of good defending made sure that we kept a clean sheet in the first 20 minutes.

"We started to settle, I thought we did alright, looked like we might come out the other side and get playing.

"Jarman made a rash challenge on the far side, got booked and within a couple of minutes he's miss-controlled the ball, got frustrated. You can't go and make a challenge like that after you've just been booked.

"From then on in it is going to be an uphill struggle against a team who are very much in form.

"We settled down until half time, spoke about things and how it was going to be. We've then slit our own throats within a minute of the re-start.

"Weak defending down the right, stood a cross to the far post and a free header.

"The second goal looked a mile offside. That put us more up against it. We snatched a goal from nowhere.

"It was disappointing, they've totally dominated us in the middle of the park.

And the Town boss says that he is concerned by the amount of goals his side concede just after the break.

"It is a worry. We are a man down, we've weathered the storm up until half-time. We speak about how it has got to be second half. Straight after half time we have conceded the first goal.

"You can't climb inside player's brains and make sure they are right about that, you have to trust them with that.

"I felt we might grab an undeserved draw," Buckley said.

"It was only long throws and a couple of free-kicks that we got in there. As much as we put the ball in their box we didn't react to a second ball. They are the sort of balls that you have to win if you are going to snatch something back.

"We might have even got an undeserved draw," he added.
