TOWN Reserves were beaten 2-0 by Sheffield United Reserves at Blundell Park this afternoon.

The Blades took the lead in the first half and the young Mariners kept them at bay until the 86^th minute.

To add to Alan Buckley's injury woes, Andy Taylor limped off during the second half.
