JUSTIN Whittle has been told that he can leave the club when his current deal ends in the summer.

The 37 year old defender, who has made over 130 appearances for Town since his arrival in June 2004, has seen his first team appearances limited during recent months.

Whittle is currently negotiating a possible early release from his Blundell Park contract.

The club would like to thank Justin for his service to the club and wish him all the best for the future.

North Deal Extended.

Meanwhile, there has been some confusion of Danny North's contract. North's current deal was due to end during the summer but the young striker has now activated a clause in his contract which will keep him with the Mariners for at least another 2 years. The deal was that if North made 30 starts his contract would roll on for a further 2 year period.
