GRIMSBY Town Ladies welcome Winterton on Sunday (27th April) to Blundell Park in a top of the table title clash (2pm).

Town have spent much of the season at the top of the table with the best goal difference in the league. However local rivals Scunthorpe and Sunday's opponents Winterton are challenging for the coveted top spot and the title chase is likely to go to the very last game of the season.

Manager Paul Farbrace thinks that win or lose on Sunday success is just around the corner for his young side.

He said: "We have a young squad this season. The success in the league and as League Cup finalists has proved that this team can go far.

"Whether we achieve promotion this year will depend on the result this weekend and our final game against Scunthorpe. However, I believe that Grimsby Town Ladies has some very successful years ahead of us.

"Our under 15 and under 16 sides have both won the double this year and will meet each other in the County cup final early in May. This shows the strength and depth of our younger players and selection next year for the senior team will become more complex, but it is a great dilemma to have," Paul added.

Entry is free into the Main Stand via the Harrington Street entrance only.

We will have some team news for you later in the week.
