Grimsby Town chairman John Fenty has won the Humberston and New Waltham ward election.

Mr Fenty polled 1,997 of the votes for the Conservatives. Independent Margaret Solomon received 916, and Labour's Gillan Wallace 349.

We would like to congratulate the chairman on his success. He will be speaking to Mariners World on Saturday about the elections, the new stadium and the comings and goings at Blundell Park.
