Legends Ease To Win

A GRIMSBY Town legends side ran out comfortable winners in the latest instalment of the Chairman's Challenge tonight.
The more youthful Sponsors side couldn't cope with the slick passing Mariners and were dead and buried by half-time.
Striker Steve Croudson grabbed 2, his strike partner Neil Woods also grabbed a brace, John McDermott bagged himself a couple of well taken goals and Gary Childs also scored 2 in a very entertaining game.
Andy Gillin scored 2 for the Sponsors side - despite being in John Fenty's pocket for most of the night. The big striker could have grabbed a hat-trick but he fired a second half penalty horribly wide.
Chris Wood and Jordan Terry were the other scorers for the Sponsors side.
A DVD of the game will be available next week.
