Former Kidderminster and Mansfield Town boss, Stuart Watkiss has been appointed as assistant manager to Graham Rodger today.
He comes to Blundell Park with decent credentials; success with Mansfield on a largely youthful squad, and also as the holder of a UEFA A coaching badge. Watkiss also had a spell as Director of Barnsley's football Academy.
Watkiss's time at Kidderminster was less successful, and after some very turbulent times, the cash-strapped club were relegated to the Conference League at the end of the 2004/ 2005 Season, with the Mariners hammering them 4-1 in their penultimate league game.
As a player, as well as his time with Wolves, Walsall and Mansfield Town, he also played at Hereford United.
He will meet up with the Town squad and take his first training session today.
