Grimsby Town Reserves will face Barnsley, Bradford City and Hartlepool in this season's Pontin's Holidays League Cup.

The Mariners' second string kick-off with a home tie against Hartlepool United which is likely to be played on 5th September. Town will travel to Bradford two weeks later and the trip to Oakwell is likely to be on November 7th. These are provisional dates only.

The Preliminary Round will be played on a mini-league basis with the top team progressing to Semi Final stage of the competition, where they will meet one of the winners from the other three groups.

The four qualifying clubs will proceed to the Semi-Final stage of the Competition.

In each Preliminary Round match, three points will be awarded for a win, one for a draw.
